George Zimmerman. Trayvon Martin. LET THE PAGEVIEWS COMMENCE!

You just gotta type the damn names.  Here are my thoughts about this, and I know I'm contributing to the beast, but hopefully after reading this you'll move on.

There is nothing to celebrate on this day.  A man, Trayvon Martin, is dead.  His family is in horrible pain.  George Zimmerman, whether he would have been proven guilty or innocent, will never be a free man again.  He won't be able to go anywhere, ever, since his face is plastered all over every TV station and newspaper ever.  This is what the media wants; continue the cycle of hatred, watch this stupid garbage instead of living your own life.  This has no effect on anyone outside of the two families, but now this has created more racists, people who won't be able to forgive this man, and people who will generalize Floridians based off of this, etc, etc.  The man and his family will be living in constant fear of retaliation, which is worse than just the man being in jail.  A prisoner of fear, and never ending hate from the other side.  Zimmerman will never escape that fear, until (if) he gets too old to be recognized anymore.  If the family wants to escape, they'll have to move far away from that guy. Or if they stay and something happens, they'll have to live in his fear Hell with him, or be hurt if anything happens to him. either way, the guy and his family will never win unless he moves somewhere nobody will ever know his name or face.

The Media wants this.  More news, more reasons to watch them.  Incite riots!  Now we have something to talk about! Let's forget that the U.S. Government is spying on every human on the planet! Distractions! Look at the cute puppy!  Again, it's the never-ending cycle of pain.  I believe people are becoming aware of this.  I don't think it's going to turn out how they want it to.  If nobody does anything to retaliate, the news will stop reporting on this.  They'll be forced to get creative.  Or go out of business.  Which would be great!  I miss watching good shows on TV.

But one thing is clear. Killing is wrong. I believe, "being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed," but that is in case our own government gets out of control.  Leave the guns at home in any other case, and let men be men and settle things with fisticuffs if worst comes to worst.  To forgive and forget?  To judge?  You and I are not the ones to decide.  Let us hope Trayvon Martin's family finds peace.  It's the best we can do.
