Independence Day

2000 years from now, if we are still celebrating Independence Day, I wonder if historians will debate how it got started.  Some will say, "According to the ancient texts, this day was when Americans declared Independence from the British."  And some will say, "You fools!  Americans and British weren't even real.  According to the ancient videos, this is the day the Earth declared Independence from the Aliens!"
